Chelsea are set to hand Victor Moses a new contract following reports linking the winger with a move to Barcelona.
Moses, who is under contract until the summer of 2019, netted the winner in Saturday’s 2-1 London derby victory over Tottenham.
And according to report on Sky Sports, Moses’ performances have persuaded Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo to offer an extended, improved contract.
It was gathered that the deal will be reportedly offered to him to ward off any potential interest from Barcelona and acknowledge his importance at Chelsea.
Moses has flourished in a new wing-back role in Chelsea’s successful 3-4-3 formation which has sparked the Blues a seven-game winning run in the Premier League.
Chelsea currently occupy the top position in the Premier League.
