The researchers at the Eindhoven University of Technology have devised a system that uses infrared light to beam Wi-Fi internet in its surroundings. In the tests, the researchers were able to achieve download speeds of 42.8 Gbit/s. This system doesn’t need any power to operate and solves the problem of network congestion.
