Linux Distribution Releases (April 2017) TinyCore 8.0 Release Date: April 9, 2017 TinyCore 8.0, a minimalist distribution built from scratch, has been released. The changelog for Tiny Core 8.0 includes Linux kernel 4.8.17, glibc 2.24, GCC 6.2.0, etc. For this release, most of the extensions have been copied from 7.x repo and Xorg 7.7 extensions have been updated.
