The Enugu State Police Command on Monday said that it arrested two armed robbery suspects that have tormented residents of Achara Layout within Enugu metropolis.

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2, Onikan, Lagos, Mr Abdul-Majid Ali, says the current leadership of the Force will punish police officers indulging in unethical practices. Ali said this when he received Mr Deji Elumoye,the Chairman of the Lagos State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) on Thursday.

The police in Jigawa on Wednesday said it had arrested a 30-year- old man, Haruna Barde, for allegedly killing a 70-year -old woman and her son in Jahun Local Government Area of the state. The Police Public Relations Officer (PRRO), Alhaji Jinjiri Abdu, confirmed the arrest in Dutse, saying that the incident occurred on Sept. 13 at about 10.30 p.m. in Nahuce village of Harbo town in Jahun Local Government Area.
