Women Affairs minister, Al-Hassan collapses at IDP camp

Unconfirmed reports emerged Wednesday, that the Minister for Women Affairs, Aisha Jumai Al-Hassan, slumped on Monday at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Fufore local government area of Adamawa State.

The reports indicated that Mama Taraba, as she is fondly called, who went inside the camp’s store to inspect foodstuff and other items supplied by the Federal Government suddenly collapsed.
It equally said that her aides swiftly barricaded pressmen and photographers from taking snapshots of the incident. It said one of the minister’s aides who ordered the pressmen out of the storeroom broke some tape recorders of some reporters.
While addressing the IDPs earlier, the minister said that she visited the camp on the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari to investigate the allegations of rape and chid abuses in the camps.
