APC : No crisis in Delta----- Okpozo

ASABA—AS the crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State rages, Senator Spanner Okpozo, yesterday, said that the caretaker committee set up to oversee the affairs of the party in the state was done by
all the leaders and elders and not by him as was being speculated in some quarters.
Okpozo, in a telephone chat with us, insisted that there was no crisis in Delta APC, “Unless somebody is innovating it. I have no problem with Olorogun O’Tega Emerhor or Prophet Jones Erue.
“I am a leader of the party in the state and if there is any problem, it is my duty to settle it,” adding that he was not a factional leader.
Okpozo said there was never a time the caretaker committee which was set up to run the affairs of the party mobilized to attack anyone at the party secretariat in Asaba, adding that the problem being faced by Erue resulted from his removal by the court based on a suit by Chief Adolor Okotie-Eboh.
On whether he was invited by the national body of the party to Abuja, he said, “I have a political status and I cannot just be invited for a meeting on pages of newspapers. If Chief John Odigie-Oyegun invites me, I will honour it.”
Urging members of the party to respect leaders, he sad “Leadership is not by wealth, you must serve and be served for you to be a leader.”
