Apple iPhone 7 Was The Best Selling Smartphone Globally In The First Half Of 2017

While we have seen various new smartphones in 2017, it looks like people still like Apple products. According to a research by IHS Markit, the Apple iPhone 7
was the best selling smartphone globally during the first half of 2017. The second place was reserved for another Apple device, the iPhone 7 Plus, while third was an entry-level Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Plus.
For comparison, Apple's biggest competitor Samsung was in fifth and sixth place with Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Both Apple and Samsung failed to surpass sales results achieved last year by their predecessor.
The only company that managed to enter the top 10 list was Oppo. Another interesting fact is that Samsung had 10 models that shipped more than 1 million units a month, while Apple only had four.
