Here Are List Of Motorola Devices Getting Android Oreo 8.0 Update

While preparing the list of Motorola devices getting Android update, the company seems to have omitted the budget smartphones, Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus that were released in 2016,
from their list. But considering the popularity of these devices, there will be custom ROM’s available in XDA developers forum even if there won’t be any official updates.

List of Motorola devices getting Android Oreo 8.0 update

  • Moto Z2 Force Edition
  • Moto Z Play
  • Moto Z2 Play
  • Moto Z Play Droid
  • Moto Z Force Droid
  • Moto Z
  • Moto Z Droid
  • Moto G5S Plus
  • Moto G5S
  • Moto G5 Plus
  • Moto G5
  • Moto X4
However, unless the device is unlocked, we might have to wait until the carriers push the updates for their respective devices.
Meanwhile, other manufacturers have also confirmed which devices will get Android 8.0 updates. HTC revealed a few weeks ago that HTC 10, HTC U Ultra, and HTC 11 would be updated to Oreo. One Plus 3 and 3T will also receive Oreo update, and this will be the last update that they receive, as the company confirmed. HMD Global has also confirmed that Nokia 8, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 will get the software update.
Android Nougat is currently running on more than 15 percent of devices. Android Oreo will bring a system level change with the introduction of Project Treble, which will simplify the way Android updates work. Hopefully, the fragmentation issue in Android will be resolved, and updates will arrive much faster.
