Hackers Have Reportedly Threatened To Leak Game Of Thrones Season 7 Finale

Now, the hackers have reportedly threatened to leak the Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 7, i.e., Season 7 Finale ahead of its official air date. Notably, Episode 6 was itself accidentally leaked by HBO Spain.

In an email sent to Mashable, the hacker(s) “Mr. Smith” has warned HBO and asked them to “be ready for GOT S07 E06 & E07 leak as soon as possible.”
The Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 7 leak isn’t the only threat. The email also contained the login credentials of almost every single HBO social media account, including Twitter handles of HBO, Game Of Thrones, Westworld, etc. It also held the details of various Instagram and Giphy accounts.
Just like Twitter, the hackers also defaced multiple HBO Giphy accounts and posted screenshots showing “HB-OLD is Dying.”
In a statement, HBO clarified that they aren’t in communication with the hacker. “The hacker may continue to drop bits and pieces of stolen information in an attempt to generate media attention. That’s a game we’re not going to participate in,” HBO added.
Is GOT S07E07 soon going to leak and end up torrent websites and Reddit forums?
