We have heard that Microsoft and Qualcomm are working together to allow Snapdragon 835 chipset to run Windows 10 operating system. At least three top-tier companies, including Asus, HP, and Lenovo will have its products ready by
the end of the year.
At Computex 2017, Qualcomm showcased a working prototype for notebooks running Windows 10 on a Snapdragon 835 SoC. The company compared the SoC to a Core m3 Y-series Kaby Lake SoC from Intel and claims better battery life and more compact, fanless design. Another good thing is integrated Snapdragon X16 LTE modems, which allows for Gigabit LTE connection.
