Jay-z set to acquire late Prince’s unreleased songs for $40m

Rap artist and business mogul Jay-Z, has reportedly tried to purchase all the unreleased music of late rock icon Prince, that were discovered at Paisley Park after the singer’s death.

According to TMZ, Jay-Z met with Prince’s sister, Tyka, and her husband, Maurice Phillips, several weeks ago. The mogul flew Tyka and Maurice to NYC to meet with him.
It was further revealed that Jay-Z made an offer of around $40 million. Tyka who shares same parent with Prince will have to get sign-off from all the brothers and sisters, in addition to the trust that is managing the estate before Jay-Z can get full streaming rights and other rights to get the overall deal.
