VideoLAN Has Released VLC 2.5 For Android With New Features


The popular media player for Android has just received some decent improvements with new version. VideoLAN has released VLC 2.5 for Android that
introduces lots of new features and improvements, such as support for 360-degree videos.
Other important changes include support for Android Auto, picture in picture mode, HDMI passthrough support, support for aspect ratio 18.5:9 screens and more. The update is now available on Google Play.

  • Support for VP8/VP9/VP10 in Mp4.
  • 360° video support to play videos in that format.
  • HDMI passthrough support.
  • Improved playback performance for MP4V/H264/HEVC.
