Microsoft Officially Launched Surface Book 2

Microsoft has called Surface Book 2 as the “most powerful Surface Book ever.” To me, such declarations are pretty obvious and natural. Having said that, Microsoft, with this laptop, aims
to bring the power of mixed reality, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and immersive gaming to you.
As expected, the new machine is powered by the eighth-generation Intel core processors. This time, Microsoft has added a new 15-inch model for those who love bigger displays.
The 15-inch Surface Book 2 display features a 3240 x 2160 resolution and 260 PPI. Its other configurations are as follows:
  • Eighth-gen Intel Quad-Core i7-8650U, 4.2GHz “max turbo”
  • 16GB RAM
  • Storage: 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB SSD
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, 6GB graphic memory
  • Dimensions: 13.5 x 9.87 x 0.9 inches
  • 4.2 pounds, 1.8-pound tablet mode
The 13-inch base model is powered by seventh-gen dual-core i5-7300U with 8GB RAM. The display has 3000 x 2000 resolution and 267 PPI. It comes with an option to upgrade to an eighth generation CPU and 16GB RAM. The storage options are 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB SSD.
Both of these machines claimed to have 17-hours battery life. They have 2 USB-A, 1 USB-C, headphone jack, 5MP front camera, 8MP rear camera, Dolby Atmos support for headphones, and backlit keyboard.
At the moment we don’t have the complete pricing details but the 13-inch devices are expected to start at $1,499. The pre-orders start from November 6th and the shipping will take place from November 16th. The Core-i7, 15-inch models are expected to start from $2,499.
