The Nintendo Switch Has Topped 1.5 Million Sales In Japan

The Nintendo Switch has topped 1.5 million sales in Japan significantly faster than the PlayStation 4. It only took 26 weeks for the console to reach that

milestone, whereas the PS4 had 665,000 sales after that amount of time. It wouldn't reach 1.5 million until 69 weeks.

Those figures were shared by 2ch.

Japan's interest in mobile gaming makes those stats pretty understandable. Although the PS4 is a more popular console overall and the Switch won't reach as many sales globally, the Japanese market is somewhat biased towards mobile gaming.
