nRansomware Is Here, Demands Nude Pics as Payment To Unlock Your Pc

On Thursday, MalwareHunterTeam researchers found a malware called nRansomware. What’s different about this ransomware is that it wants your nude snaps. Strange, huh! A screenshot of
the ransomware was posted on Twiter by the researchers, according to a report by Motherboard.
“Your computer has been locked. You can only unlock it with the special unlock code,” the message reads in the screenshot.
The victim has to send an email to the attackers including ten nude photos. The attackers will then verify that images belong to the victim and provide the unlock code without charging any money.
According to the message, the attackers will sell those pictures on the deep web (it should be dark web). The number of people affected is yet to be known.
The malware spreads in the form of an executable called nRansom.exe which has been tagged as “malicious” by various antivirus tools like VirusTotal and Hybrid Analysis. So, it seems that the ransomware might not be a prank altogether.
However, the fact that the ransomware doesn’t encrypt the files and it’s merely a screen locker, does introduce the possibility of a prank in the picture. In fact, even the researchers haven’t found anyone infected with nRansomware.
