Instagram Hacked API Bug Leaks Personal Information Of Selena Gomez


Now, the Facebook-owned service has revealed that the hackers have exploited a bug related to an Instagram API and accessed the email address and phone number of high-profile users. The number of the affected users hasn’t been revealed.

It should be noted that other information, including passwords, hasn’t been revealed.
In a statement, Instagram said that they’ve notified their verified account holders. They further added that people must be vigilant about their security and beware of suspicious activities.
It would be safe to assume that the bug affected all Instagram users but the high-profile users turned out to be obvious targets. This Instagram bug has now been fixed.
We advise 9jabreezeland users to use a strong password and an extra layer of security like two-factor authentication. Make sure to report the unrecognized and suspicious calls, emails, and texts at the earlier.
