Google’s Is Planing To Release A Smart Headphone

Spotted by 9to5Google in their APK teardown, Bisto is most probably a smart headphone or headphone (most likely wireless) which could be controlled using the voice commands given to Google Assistant.

Aside from common song-related controls, users would be able to take calls, do voice searches, hear notifications and reply to them using their voice.
According to the teardown, users would have to go through an initial process to setup Google Assistant on the headphone. And it would be possible for the smart headphone to receive OTA updates.
However, all the voice offering doesn’t mean the smart headphone would lack physical controls. The code from the Google app APK details the buttons, namely, Google Assistant button and top button.
It isn’t the case that everything that appears in beta builds of the Google app always sees the daylight. But considering the Mountain View’s escalating interest in Assistant-powered hardware, a headphone of such kind could be a possibility at the company’s hardware event later this year.
Moreover, as per a report by Android Police, the hardware event would also serve as the launchpad to a new Pixel-branded Chromebook and two new Pixel smartphones.
In another related news (The Verge), it has been known that Google might be working on a smaller low-cost version of the Google Home smartphone, aimed at the entry-level market. Some people see it as an effort against Amazon’s Echo Dot.
