The Last Developer Preview Of Android O Is Out With Minor Improvements

Before Google releases Android O in the coming future, the Android O Developer Preview 4 is out to give the Android devs and users an idea of how Android O 8.0 would ultimately look.
Google wants DP4 to be the last test bed for the developers who would be trying their apps on
the near-final version of Android O and figuring out additional changes.
As detailed by Google in a blog post, the last Android O preview is only about minor improvements. It carries all the latest bug fixes, optimizations, final system behaviors and APIs; most of these were already included in Developer Preview 3.
A stable version of Android 26 Support Library comes with Preview 4, along with an updated Android Testing Support Library which is expanded to include new features like Multiprocess Espresso, Android Test Orchechester.
Google is yet to reveal further details about them. Various incremental updates to the Android Emulator, SDK, and tools are also on the way.
Earlier developer previews have already revealed much of features which would become a part of the official final release of Android O. The notable inclusions in the feature set are Notification Channels, Picture-In-Picture, Autofill, Adaptive Icons, multi-display support, etc.

The final developer preview would land on the Android devices (including Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, and Android Emulator) in the coming days. However, the device should be part of the beta testing program.
However, if you want, you can manually flash the system image on one of the compatible devices. Do remember to backup your data as developer previews aren’t known to be stable.
