Facebook has partnered with The Trevor Project, a suicide hotline aimed at young people in the LGBTQ community. With the partnership, more suicide prevention tools will become available in Messenger. It'll be easier for people to connect with The Trevor Project as a result.
This partnership follows Facebook's addition of suicide prevention tools to Messenger and Live in March of this year. At the time, it was working with the Crisis Text Line, the National Eating Disorder Association and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Now another organization is on that list.
