Facebook's mobile app is now integrating notifications from the company's other large apps: Instagram and Messenger. With the new notifications, which first showed up on iOS, users don't need to flip between apps as often.
This comes alongside a change to the notification icon in the upper right hand corner. You'll see a number on the icon if you have any notifications.
Upon clicking the icon, you'll be shown which of your accounts has notifications.
