Average Cable Bill To Reach $140 By 2020

Cable bills in the United States continue to increase in price and they're increasing at a rate well beyond that of inflation.
An analysis from CutCableToday indicates that if the increase continues at the same rate, cable bills will be $140.83 by 2020.

That average price will be much higher than the $73.35 seen in 2011. During 2016, the average bill increased to $103.10.
Those increases are coming at a time when many consumers are leaving behind cable TV and adopting streaming television/movie services in their place.
On average, cable TV prices are increasing 8% per year.
The inflation rate has only been 1.83%.
