Grandfathered unlimited data plans for tablets are going to be throttled on AT&T's network.
The carrier has contacted grandfathered customers to let them know their plans will sometimes be throttled upon reaching 22 GB of data usage in a given month.
Your line can be throttled during the rest of the billing period once you reach that data consumption limit.
AT&T says it's implementing this change in order to reduce network congestion.
If the network isn't congested in your area, you may not experience a slower connection.
The throttling will officially go into place on May 24, 2017.
