Apple Extends Warranty For iPad Pro's Smart Keyboard

The iPad Pro's Smart Keyboard accessory now comes with a three-year warranty. Apple revealed in an internal memo to retail stores that it would extend the warranty due to "functional issues" with the keyboard. Hardware issues have led to unresponsive keys, repeated keystrokes, and impaired Smart Connector

functionality.

Since Apple is extending the warranty for all Smart Keyboard owners by two years, it appears those hardware issues are fairly common. The extension applies to anyone with a Smart Keyboard for the two iPad Pro models.

Those affected by functional issues with the accessory can get a free repair.
