Turkey Blocking Wikipedia Because It Didn't Remove Content

Wikipedia, one of the most popular sources of info on the web, is now being blocked by Turkish authorities.
They claim the site was running a "smear campaign" against the government. Wikipedia didn't remove allegations that the government is coordinating with militant groups, leading to the block.

The simplest way for Wikipedia to return to the country would be to comply with all of the government's requests.
But it's unlikely to go down that route.
A "judicial review" will be requested by the Wikimedia Foundation, which says it's "committed" to keeping Wikipedia live in the country.
By default, the ban will be reviewed by a court within 24 hours of taking effect. The court has two days to decide if the ban should remain.
The Wikimedia Foundation has learned that access to Wikipedia has been blocked in Turkey as of Saturday, April 29th. Wikipedia is a rich and valuable source of neutral, reliable information in hundreds of languages, written by volunteers around the world. We are committed to ensuring that Wikipedia remains available to the millions of people who rely on it in Turkey. To that end, we are actively working with outside counsel to seek judicial review of the decision affecting access to Wikipedia. We hope the issue can be resolved promptly.- Wikimedia Foundation
