Barely a week ago, Trump banned the citizens of some countries from entering
the United States. This caused quite a stir as some people protested and faulted the move. The president is keen on the protection of the US borders and decided to ban citizens of countries that are perceived to be potential threat to the US.

The president of the US who took over from Barack Obama has mapped out some plans and is working diligently on achieving them. The calls he made over the weekend addressed Angela Merkel of Germany, Vladimir Putin of Russia and some other world leaders.

1. Shinzo Abe
The US president called Shinzo Abe, the Japanese leader, about the issue of the United States pulling out of the Trans-Pacific partnership knowing fully well that Abe has interest in the deal.
Donald Trump told him he was ore interested in bilateral deals and trade that were easier to manage and modify based on the situation of things.
The two leaders have decided to meet in February at Washington in order to discuss further on this. This was made known by the prime minister.
2. Malcolm Turnbull
Another world leader President Trump discussed with recently was Malcolm Turnbull, the prime minister of Australia.
Turnbull is also the leader of the liberal party. the Australian prime minster had his first chat with the US president when they discussed the strength and closeness of the United States and Australia over a period of twenty-five minutes.
According to the white house, they talked about the relationship of the US and Australia and spoke extensively on ways of promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the Asia-pacific region and all over the world.
3. Francois Hollande
The US president also spoke with Francois Hollande, the French president, who had some words of warning for Trump. Hollande spoke to Trump about taking an approach focused on protection since it would have economic and political consequences.
The information gathered from the president's office revealed that the French president warned the US president on his method of administration. He was quoted to have said "In an unstable and uncertain world, turning inward would be a dead-end."
4. Angela Merkel
Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, spoke with Donald Trump and the duo shared the same opinion on the fundamental importance of NATO. Plans are being made for the two leaders to meet later.
5. Vladimir Putin
Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, received a call from President Trump and both leaders talked about stabilizing relations and restoring trade ties between their countries.
The threat caused by radical Islamic terrorism was also discussed while situations in Ukraine and Koreas were also mentioned. The presidents have high hopes of strengthening the bonds between them after a series of sanctions were lowered on Russia during the reign of Obama.
