When the news broke that popular musician and YBNL records CEO Olamide was looking to expand his label’s roster to include a woman, most wondered why he was going to find that street savvy rapper type that YBNL is known for.
1. But he decided to go the Adekunle Gold route choosing instead to sign a little-known alternative singer called Temmie
Ovwasa.
2. Temmie is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, spoken word artiste, and poet who has released two singles on YBNL’s roster Jabole and Afefe.
3. She is also in her final year of university studying Medical Anatomy at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Oyo State.
4. A self-taught guitarist, keyboard and talking drum player, she had never visited Lagos state until she was signed by Olamide.
5. Since signing on to YBNL, she is now known as YBNL Princess. She has also attempted to ‘spice up’ her normal tomboyish look.
6. Rocking outfits that show off her very unique and boisterous style. She joins rapper Saeon as the new tomboys in Nigerian entertainment.
