Seminarian, others feared dead as Fulani herdsmen attack Enugu community

Suspected Fulani herdsmen, Thursday moring, attacked Enugu Atakwu community, in Nkanu West Local Government Area , killing ‎a seminarian of the Catholic Church and several others.
WE gathered that the herdsmen
, who were armed to ‘teeth’ invaded and started shooting and maiming anybody in sight.
One of the victims, a seminarian is said to have just returned from his apostolic work.
A community source, who spoke to our correspondent, said “they just came early this morning and started killing people.
“There is confusion everywhere now; people are running helter-skelter.”
As at the time of filling this report, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Rt. Rev. Calistus Onaga are in the community.
